Maple Syrup

Often while we are waiting for the big pans to boil down we will grap some out of the finishing pan and boil it down quicker in a frying pan to make sugar or candy to eat while we wait.

A boiling cauldron of goodies.

The pan has to be pulled off the direct heat in order to put it in jars.. Notice the flames coming out the back after it is moved forward.
