Arielle is sporting "Peanut Poles."
Mom had gotten Ari skis and boots from a resale shop but had refused to spend the $$ on poles telling Arielle that a)she didn't need them and b)she didn't need them and c)she didn't need them. Also, Mom said she wasn't spending the money on poles for someone who didn't need them. Of course, Peanut continued to let Mom know how much poles would help her ski (even though it was evident she didn't need them) and would borrow
Mom's and Layne's whenever she could. Mom and Dad where in Traverse on Friday and guess what Mom found (and purchased) for $7?

She's a great skier even with poles.
Those poles are too tall for her and I agree, d) she doesn't need them at this point in her skiing career.

Arielle is 5 and I am 12, I have never been skiing before.
And i would prolly be pretty bad at it. :)

I went skiing when I was 9. I really enjoyed it! My Dad took me on the ADULT hill because I was pretty good at it....which was a mistake....( :) )...I made both of us fall while going fullspeed, which took us FOREVER to get back up and finish!! :P
believe me my mom made me go skiing last year with my bros it is not a great winter sport (same with snowshoing)
When I went skiing I couldn't stay up worth a darn! Even on the beginners hill, I fell down every couple minutes.
I guess skiing is just not my sport.
Believe me, you don't know the definition of winter fun until you have snowboarded, it definitely beats skiing, though you can't be a chicken!!
Snowboarding is very fun:D
I know this has nothing to do with the post, but I wish you would post about Tuesday nights more.... :)
Oh, I know what sounds like fun, strapping boards to our feet and throwing ourselves down a mountain... And there is also the option of adding in really sharp pointed sticks to the equation! Look on the bright side... we could be into bungee jumping.
Bungee jumping is actually a little safer than snowboarding or skiing, so what are you talking about!!
Actually driving a car is very dangerous, so you really are not taking any more risk when play winter sports!
okay, how did we get from skiing to driving? ohhhhhhhhh yeah, snowboarding is sooooo awesome! I love it...I'm not bad at it either, if I do say so myself..jkjkjk
